Sparkles of gold float the room,
and in the twilight I can only sense
the shadow of your smile
in your dreams,

and dawn calls you back home,
from your sweetest dream,
born is a new day,
when traces of gold find your eyes,

a new day arrives,
and you smile and you seem to know.
A new day has just begun for you
and I will be with you.

And when the Eastern sky ignites
I pray to you: "O Lord, stay nigh,
and guide the feet of my child,
until a new day begins."
