Che tormela dovea o tempo o loco:
Perch'ogn'estremo ben sol durar poco,
Estremo era'l mio ben; ch'ad'hora ad'hora
Di madonn'havevo io
Un sì pietoso, un sì dolce ascoltarmi.
Hor potrò ben lagnarmi,
Chè da me sol, ohi mè, saranno intese
Queste dolenti mie parole_og'hora!
Deh! partenza crudel, fa almen ch'io mora,
Prima che veder mai Quel che so che vedrai!
E quest'è'l mio dolor, quest'è'l mio foco,
Ch'io gl'uscirò di mente a poco a poco.
